name sheets

The last week, with every name

Typing 25 names into 25 templates is what eats a teacher’s evening in December. These sheets work the other way round: you paste the class list once and every page comes out with each student’s name already on it. All free, up to 30 names.

Sample sheet: The last week, with every name

Before you start: the list

Copy the names from your roster or a spreadsheet, one per line, first names only if you prefer. The names stay in your browser: nothing is uploaded or saved. Check the spelling once, because every sheet below reuses the same list.

The week before: show tickets

For the winter concert or the class show, four tickets per page, one per student, with the name to color, lines for the date, time and place, and an “admit 2” stub. Each child takes theirs home to invite the family. Show tickets for every student.

Monday: medals for everyone

Six paper medals per page, each with a student’s name to color, a short cheer and the year. Kids color their own, you punch a hole and thread a ribbon. Nobody is left without one, which is the point. Medals for every student.

Tuesday: the calendar gift for the families

Next year’s calendar with the child’s name in hollow letters and a box for a drawing or a handprint, all 12 months on one A4 page. It is the classic class gift for parents, without typing a single name. Calendar for every family.

Wednesday: a letter to their future self

Each student answers six questions about this year, draws a self-portrait and seals it in an envelope with a label that carries their name and “do not open until”. Good for the turn of the year, and for the last week of school in June. Time capsule letters.

Thursday: the classmates keepsake

One sheet per student with all their classmates’ names, so everyone collects signatures from the whole class. Classmates keepsake. If a parent asks how their child can give a card to every classmate, send them cards for every classmate.

Friday: the party

For a gift exchange, the class Secret Santa draws names in your browser, with fold-over slips and a list only you see. For a pajama day, the North Pole train tickets come out one page per child too.

Free, and the one paid option

Every sheet above is free with a small footer, up to 30 names. If you would rather have the whole list in a single PDF without the footer, each class page has an optional button for that: US$6.99 for 2 to 40 names, downloaded right after paying. You don’t need it to print anything on this page.

All the class sheets are together on end of year for the whole class.

For your class newsletter

Copy this paragraph into your December newsletter or the note that goes home before the break. It points families to free name games for the holidays.

Over the winter break, a few minutes with their own name keeps it fresh until school starts again. Name Sheets has free five-minute games that print with your child’s name: a word search, a maze, pixel art and a secret code. No sign-up, and the name stays on your device: https://namesheets.com/blog/name-games-for-winter-break?src=bol-en
